Laurie Baptista
Laurie has been a certified licensed Jazzercise instructor since September 1984. Her dance background includes many years of classical ballet. She has a B.S. degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry, which included many years of anatomy and physiology studies. Jazzercise, Inc. requires that each instructor maintain a level of continuous education in line with the current science and industry of aerobic dance and exercise in general.
Jazzercise, Inc. also provides the instructor with continual information on dance technique, physiology, and anatomy.
Laurie has been certified in CPR and first-aide since 1980 (certification must be renewed annually).
Laurie is also a Workshop Trainer for Jazzercise Inc. As a trainer for Jazzercise Inc., her responsibilies include screening, auditioning, training, and certifiying new Jazzercise instructors.

Christine Zeitz
Christine was certified as a Jazzercise instructor in January of 1995. She has been an associate instructor since then for the Tri-City Jazzercise Fitness Center.
She has a B.S. degree in Ergonomics and is also a registered Physical Therapist with a private practice in the Tri-City area. Her specialty is neuromuscular rehabilitation, but she also has an extensive background in physiology, anatomy, and kinesiology that she incorporates into her Jazzercise classes.

Bliss Birchett
Bliss was recently certified as a Jazzercise instructor in June 2007, and has been a Jazzercise student for 10 years. She is excited about teaching at the Center. Bliss has studied all forms of dance and was a dance major at U.C. Irvine. Her dance background is what attracted her to Jazzercise. For over 20 years Bliss has worked as a litigation legal secretary and presently works for a boutique law firm in San Francisco. She also enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, watching movies, and going to B&B’s with her husband.
Betty Rothstein
Betty was certified in 2000 after being a Jazzercise student for 7 years. She graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. She has worked with the U.S. Attorneys Office, San Diego Police Department, and was a litigation paralegal. She has shown Hunter/Jumpers for 15 years. She loves to snow ski and go to the beach. When she's not teaching, you'll find her with her husband and 3 children playing tennis, riding horses, playing soccer, dancing and running.
Danielle Newman
We welcome Danielle to our Tri-City Jazzercise Fitness Center instructor staff. Danielle is our newest addition to our outstanding staff of instructors here at TCJFC. Danielle's passions include both drama and swimming! Her claim to fame is playing the part of Scout in "To Kill a Mockingbird". Danielle currently works at Sun Microsystems as an Executive Assistant full time, and has 2 children, Hayley (12) and Travis (8). When Danielle isn't working, teaching Jazzercise or busy with her children's activities, you can find her gardening,

the outdoors.
